Santa Maluquice Program

The program

Santa Maluquice

Concerned with the difficulties that hospitalized children present, due to the habitual distance of family and friends, restrictions on physical activities and games, as well as the radical change of environment that occurs in the wards, the students of the Medicine undergraduate course of the Santa Casa de Sao Paulo School of Medical Sciences created the Santa Maluquice Program.

The Program consists of an extracurricular university activity, linked to the Department of Pediatrics and Childcare of the FCMSCSP, influenced by the ideals and principles of “Doutores da Alegria”, an organization dedicated to bringing joy to hospitalized children. Currently, the project also counts on the participation of the students of the undergraduate courses in Nursing and Speech and Hearing Therapy of the FCMSCSP.
