To analyze, through radiographic studies, how the union of diaphyseal fractures treated with a wave plate with and without bone exertion occurs to evaluate the consolidation pattern. Medical records and radiographic files of patients operated by the Trauma Surgery Group of the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology of Irmandade Santa Casa de Misericórdia de São Paulo from 1990 to 2012 will be reviewed.
