Professor of the FCMSCSP among the Latin American Top Ten in cerebrovascular diseases Prof. Dr. Rubens José Gagliardi is the ninth place

Last May, the journal “World Neurosurgery” published the evaluation of researchers and published works on strokes from 2003 to 2017 in Latin America. Professor of the Santa Casa de Sao Paulo School of Medical Sciences, Rubens José Gagliardi is among the “Top Ten” appointed by the publication, occupying ninth position with 26 publications.

About Rubens J. Gagliardi
He holds a medical degree from the Santa Casa de Sao Paulo School of Medical Sciences, a Master’s degree in Neurology from the University of São Paulo (1980) and a PhD in Neurology from the University of São Paulo (1988). He is currently chief physician of the neurological clinic – Brotherhood of Santa Casa de Misericórdia of São Paulo and professor of Neurology at the Santa Casa de Sao Paulo School of Medical Sciences. Former president of the Brazilian Academy of Neurology (2014-2016) and current president of the Paulista Association of Neurology; former president of the Brazilian Society of Cerebrovascular Diseases. He has experience in Medicine, with emphasis in Neurology, acting mainly on the following subjects: stroke, cerebrovascular disease, carotid arteries, carotid atherosclerosis and diagnosis, prevention and treatment of stroke. He has several works and books published (in Brazil and abroad) in this field.
